I did a post not to long ago on this show here, and not too long after the dad was actually arrested for threatening his wife and family. To top it all off, he resisted arrest which piled on the charges even further.

It’s not a big surprise that this guy has a temper. He also seemed to have a high conflict relationship with his wife. There weren’t many dull moments and disagreements on everything from planting a garden to buying a house were filled with uneasy tension between the two and him often coming off as a bully. He didn’t seem like he was into compromising too much and she seemed to think that by giving into his tantrums and tolerating his aggressive behavior that he would eventually simmer down and become a rational person again. Well apparently this time his simmering didn’t come soon enough or his behavior had began to be even more irrational than in the past.

There were stories that he had went off of Prozac (good plug for Prozac) and that he was relying on faith and counsel to get him through. Well since this episode, I’m thinking he’s probably put his local pharmacist back on speed dial. Not much else has been reported since on whether the couple has officially separated or on whether there will actually be a third season filmed. I wouldn’t think that it would be in the best interest of them or their kids that they film while they are obviously going through some tough times. Pull the plug before things get too out of control and maybe they can eventually come back after either after some major healing and/or a divorce.

There was a story about him being a veteran that served, and while I can see how that could be a factor in some of his loss of patience etc., it doesn’t mean that he gets off with a free pass to be able to torture his wife and kids. It gives even more reason why he probably shouldn’t be in front of the camera while still dealing with things. I think overall, these families who have these multiples are living under such stress, that obviously the camera isn’t going to catch their best selves or sides during these high pressure circumstances anyway. I mean what marriage wouldn’t crumble under the pressure of that many children, but then you add cameras, fame and a move out of state away from your families and support system….seriously, probably not the brightest idea!
