Pharm Parties
Apparently it’s not really just spiked punch that parent’s have to worry about these days when it comes to kid’s having house party’s. There is a new term called “pharming” or having “pharm parties” that provide pills out of the family medicine cabinet for recreational use and fun. Is this just a sign that we as a nation are becoming way dependent on pill popping? I guess good ole jello shooters or even typical drug use like marijuana aren’t doing the trick anymore? Plus those things seem much more criminal huh? However, it does seem that pills could be much more addictive and deadly when mixed with other combination’s of drugs.
Ultimately the same rules of teaching your kids to “just say no” applies to this new form of escapism, however it is definitely something that more parent’s need to be hip to. If nothing else it may make you want to look at your own medicine cabinet, see if it runs the risk of being raided and if there are more permanent and healthy alternatives than the ones that are being provided at your local pharmacy.
