I didn’t happen to see this huge fiasco on television the other day, but I have seen the aftermath that is everywhere. I even happened to see the episode of “Wife Swap” where this guy displayed obnoxious behavior along with having no respect back then. Everyone’s question is was it a publicity stunt?

I’m not sure “publicity stunt” is the word, but attention seeking, you better believe it. It seems he has aimed to put himself and his family on television for quite awhile now, regardless of the cost. This time it may be at the cost of his parental rights being that they now have been put into question.

I think that these types of people are going to show up more & more with the new obsession in this country with reality television.

I mean lets face it, when it comes to entertainment, a lot of even the most creative and thought provoking scripts can’t compete with some of the drama of real life. You’ve got people just like these that see the Jon & Kate’s, and still don’t care about the consequences. They will do anything for that five seconds of fame, for attention and to feel like their lives have some value or importance in some way.

Not to mention the usual nice pay off that comes along with it. Their children just have to go along with the ride and even if they are vomiting right there on television from it, no one seems to care. Do I feel these parents need to come back down to “reality” and have some psychiatric evaluations done along with some extensive parenting classes, yes!
