How Many Is Too Many?

Posted by Laurel on October 1st, 2009

For parents that are divorced, new relationships can be a little sticky to say the least. We all know that the infamous Brady Bunch made it work a few decades ago, but what about now? Take two parent’s that have two children each and automatically, you have family of six. When people say they merge like that it simply amazes me. I know that some do figure out a way to make it work, but I figure the only way is to have a huge house and lots of family meetings.

I did a post a long time ago about Jon and Kate splitting and didn’t see how realistically they would be able to create a new life with other people. It would explain why Kate has that popcorn hat on yodeling “get your popcorn” like some kind of crazy bird. When asked about dating, she has said that she is too busy to date and if she remarries, “he will love all her children as much as I do.” Is it possible that she is suffering from a little bit of what they call denial? And doesn’t she miss sex even just a teeny weeny little bit?

Why get all that lypo if you were planning on being a nun and don’t have anyone to show it off to besides the paparazzi. At least Jon is getting a little action. Even if it is only from some clueless young girl’s who would probably run screaming in the opposite direction after a couple years and a few reality checks.

There are a few out there that might want a big family, but most of them would probably already have already started their own if that was the case. I know, I know I’m being a downer, but you have to wonder if people don’t often live in fantasy land when it comes to the reality of parenting and step families.
