What a nice post - and I mean nice in the nicest possible sense! I am childless by choice and this is exactly how I feel. There is nothing logical about having children, but then again, humans are not logical creatures, and we are allowed lapses in judgment at times. I get a bit irritable when I see someone with a load of inherited diseases insisting on having a baby of their own through AI and not even consider adoption. That is when I can quite insensitive about their pain of not being able to have children, and can go a bit far telling them that they should consider the child before their own emotions.
