My kids really lost their love of learning when in school - the bullies, the boredom - they made learning a chore. We chose to homeschool, and haven't looked back! We are planning on homeschooling our youngest (4 years old) right from the start - no conventional school for him! Have you considered homeschooling? PS - Love your blog! I really feel your pain.
