Is Miley Cyrus Disney’s Next Disappointment?
Whose fault is it? Is it the parent’s, the pressure, the child star, who are to blame with the bad ending that Hollywood so often gives to its offspring? Is it Hollywood that is to blame for painting the perfect picture that America wants so desperately to buy into?I have never been a big fan of Disney. Besides the happily ever after that doesn’t exist, there’s also the always smiling face’s that don’t either. Sure, they help to put something semi-decent on television in order for children to be able to have something they can turn on, but what’s the cost?
Is the cost a next generation having ideas in their heads about what life is supposed to be about, but who wake up every day to the fact that it isn’t?I saw this one coming a mile away. An attractive girl who has a famous father and the whole hearted purity of the girl next door. She starts out as they all do, barely able to walk and only knowing that she loves the camera, the attention and the possibility of seeing their names in lights and having proud parents.
Then she does a few interviews where she is asked about fellow starlets who have faced the challenges of the real world and failed, only to respond by saying that she will be different because she has her faith and family. Before you know it, there are pictures surfacing, then defensive remarks come only to be followed by more pictures and now a possible topless photo shoot. Now the latest American sweetheart has outraged parents on her hands, is making headlines and will soon begin the cycle that Hollywood helps to perpetuate.

I always hold out hope that the next little star will be wholesome… Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, Hillary Duff, Mandy Moore, Miley Cyrus. They may not all be sucking down cigarettes and going to rehab for their summer vacations, but none of them turned out to be completely appeasing to conservative parents.
Good thing little kids have short attention spams.
